Due to a faulty heating system in the dead of winter, this church's
Reliance pipe organ needed major repairs.
Console components were also starting to deteriorate requiring hours of major repair work just to "patch" them.
It became apparent that repetitive repairs are uneconomical when compared to a one-time rebuilding of the pipe organ.
The church accepted our proposal for the rebuilding of the
pipe organ which included the installation of all new electro-mechanical pipe valves, all new wiring between the windchests and switching system and a new,
Peterson custom designed orgaplex solid-state switching system.
A bar graph Crescendo indicator was installed as well. The repair of damaged pipework and re-sealing of leaking wind conductors was also included.
Finally, the pipes were reinstalled and tuned to A=440.
Considering what this organ endured, it's really pleasant to listen to it play once again.
It is also now very reliable, and will be enjoyable to listen to for many years to come.
